Together with Trout Unlimited, San Luis Obispo County Education and NOAA, Watershed Progressive designed a series of immersive outdoor learning environments that enhance site resilience while creating interactive spaces for students and visitors to engage with their environment, monitor impacts and learn about the interconnected natural systems of the region. WP generated plans for alternative water reuse and stormwater mitigation LID measures that assist in modifying current instream diversion, protect instream pool resrouces, provide alternative water source for dry season wetland pond uses, and contribute to the development of infiltration Best Management Practices on site to increase groundwater recharge and interstitial summer base flows.

Projects designed and installed at Rancho El Chorro include greywater systems, rainwater harvesting and stormwater mitigation through rain gardens and bioswales. Watershed Progressive developed educational signage for demonstration projects.
